Positive Behaviour Support Implementation

Vitality Support Care implements Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans developed by registered behaviour support practitioners, for NDIS participants across Melbourne and Victoria. Our registration permits implementation of supports involving restrictive practices, with trained staff, data recording and full NDIS Commission reporting compliance.

Implementation

A plan is only as good as its implementation

Behaviour support practitioners write the plan; the people around the participant make it real. Our workers are trained in each participant's specific PBS plan — the proactive strategies, the early-warning signs, the agreed responses — and we record the data practitioners need to review and improve the plan.

Scope

What we do

  • Consistent implementation of PBS strategies across all shifts and settings
  • Staff trained per-plan before working with the participant
  • Implementation of authorised supports involving restrictive practices, with reporting to the NDIS Commission as required
  • Incident and behaviour data recording for practitioner review
  • Collaboration with the participant's behaviour support practitioner, family and coordinator
  • Environments designed to reduce triggers, especially in our SIL and MTA homes
Working with your practitioner

Our role, clearly drawn

Important: Vitality Support Care does not develop behaviour support plans. Plan development is delivered by registered specialist behaviour support practitioners — we work in close collaboration with the participant's chosen practitioner or can connect you with our registered specialist clinical partners. Our role, under our NDIS registration, is skilled and accountable implementation.

Questions

Behaviour support questions

Do you write behaviour support plans?

No — plans are developed by registered behaviour support practitioners; we implement them and can refer you to registered partners.

Are your staff trained in restrictive practices?

Staff implementing authorised restrictive practices are trained and we meet all NDIS Commission reporting obligations.

Can participants with behaviours of concern live in your SIL homes?

Yes — with the right plan, ratios and housemate matching; this is a careful, honest conversation we have before any placement.
